CFDs are not a savings product; the balance can fall quickly.

Charts & Charting on Axi: A Trader's View

Axi keeps things focused. The core experience is built around MetaTrader 4, which is still the workhorse for most serious retail traders. MT5 was added in 2024, and you also get access to the Axi proprietary platform plus TradingView. Having TradingView in the mix is useful because many traders already use it for analysis and community ideas.

The Tools You Get

PlatformBest For
MT4Day-to-day trading, Expert Advisors, speed
MT5More timeframes, more order types
Axi ProprietaryMobile checks, clean interface
TradingViewCharting, analysis, community ideas

MT4 remains the stable core. MT5 is there if you need extra features, but most traders still rely on MT4. The proprietary platform works for checking positions on your phone, not for serious analysis.

Reading the Charts Right

Charting is about seeing price action clearly and understanding the fee structure behind the trade. The Standard account spreads start from around 0.6 pips. The Pro account offers spreads from 0.0 pips plus a commission of about USD 3.50 per side. The Elite account charges USD 3.50 per lot.

FYI
Pro account spreads look tight, but always calculate the true cost. USD 3.50 per side plus zero spread works out to roughly 0.7 pips on a standard lot. The chart does not display this extra cost.

Leverage and the Margin Question

Axi offers up to 1:500 on the offshore SVG entity. At 1:500, a 0.2% move against you wipes out your entire margin.

On the India side, SEBI and RBI restrict leveraged forex trading for residents to exchange-traded INR currency pairs on NSE, BSE, or MSE only. The leverage is set by margin requirements, typically working out to around 20–30x on notional. Trading spot forex or CFDs with an offshore broker is not permitted under RBI/FEMA rules. Axi onboards Indian residents to its offshore SVG entity and does not hold a SEBI licence.

Charting Tools That Matter

TradingView integration stands out for drawing trendlines and multi-timeframe analysis.

  • Drawing tools and indicators are more advanced on TradingView than on MT4.
  • Expert Advisors work on MT4 and MT5 for strategy testing, but require deep backtesting before running live.
  • The web platform is usable for quick checks on mobile, but desktop or dedicated app is better for real analysis.

Honest Limits and Pitfalls

For Indian users, the key friction points are funding and currency. There are no verified INR payment rails, so you use cards, bank wires, e-wallets like Skrill/Neteller, or crypto (USDT/BTC/ETH). The account base currency is USD, not INR, which means FX conversion costs on deposit and withdrawal unless you hold crypto.

Funding MethodSpeed
Credit/Debit CardInstant to a few hours
Bank Wire1–3 business days
Skrill/NetellerInstant
USDT/BTC/ETHDepends on network
Axi does not offer a standard deposit bonus. The value is in the transparent fee structure.

Regulatory alerts and real costs

The FCA has published a warning against 'Axi Trading' clone, and ASIC has noted a clone-firm alert. Axi is not on the SEBI-authorised list. The biggest practical risk with charting here is overtrading based on low spreads without understanding the cost. With the Pro account, commission applies regardless of outcome. If you make many small trades, that cost compounds. Those who chase 1:500 leverage often use charts without a solid risk model.

CAUTION
If a Telegram group is sending you charts with "guaranteed" targets, do not engage. Guaranteed returns do not exist in trading. Always verify the entity you are dealing with, especially for money transfers.

Account Setups and Costs

AccountMin DepositSpreadCommission
StandardUSD 0From ~0.6 pipsNone
ProUSD 0From 0.0 pips~USD 3.50/side
EliteUSD 25,000From 0.0 pipsUSD 3.50/lot

The Pro account is often the sweet spot for best execution cost. Standard is fine for beginners who want predictable cost without commissions.

Summary

Axi's platforms deliver solid charting capability. The combination of MT4 for stability and TradingView for analysis is hard to beat. The transparent cost structure is clear compared to brokers hiding fees in spreads.

For experienced traders who know what they are doing, Axi works well. If you trade multiple asset classes and need deep liquidity and tight spreads, the platform delivers. An Islamic account (swap-free) is available.

For beginners, 1:500 leverage is a shortcut to losing money, not making it. If you live in India and need to be within the local regulatory framework, using an offshore SVG entity puts you outside SEBI/RBI oversight. If that matters to you, compare Axi with brokers holding tier-1 licenses (FCA, ASIC), where client fund segregation and oversight are stricter.
